Administrative Officer

The Role

                                                                                         

The Royal Borough of Richmond upon Thames and London Borough of Wandsworth present a unique opportunity to be part of a team who are working together to create a ground-breaking shared staffing structure across the two boroughs.

We are recruiting to an administration assistant post in the area housing team, located in the Department of Housing and Regeneration.

 

Some of the duties of the post include;

  • To deal with residents and other members of the public in a professional and effective manner of a wide range of issues by way of personal interview in reception, by phone or in writing.
  • To deal with emergency and incident reports, updating records and ensuring orders are raised to contractors as necessary

 

  • Handles cash and cheques received for parking permits, entry phone keys/fobs and other miscellaneous items ensuring that correct procedures are followed.

 

  • Assists in co-ordinating attendance at evictions, liaising with estate managers, contractors, finance department officers and County Court staff. Ensures contractors are available to gain access to the property and that properties are secured.

 

  • Responsible for the administration of rechargeable work on occasions determining whether work should be rechargeable and collating supporting evidence for referral to Finance. Ensures that write backs and write-offs are dealt with accordingly.

 

 

  • Being the first point of contact for Council tenants and leaseholders, raising repair orders to contractors, logging and acknowledging correspondence, processing contractor invoices, signing up new tenants to properties, covering a busy reception on a rota basis.
