Deputy Allocations Manager
The Role
Responsible for the allocation and letting of Council, Registered Social Landlord and private accommodation.
This role presents a unique opportunity to be part of a team in a ground-breaking shared staffing structure across both boroughs.
We are seeking to recruit a dynamic Deputy Allocations Manager with a proven background of managing a multi functional team within a performance framework.
The successful candidate should be reliable, self motivated and be able to develop strategies to ensure the best and cost effective use of accommodation available to the Council under current legislation and guidance.
You should be creative and an excellent team player, with a proven ability to lead a team.
Some of the duties will include;
- To manage and co-ordinate the work of the allocations and mobility team, particularly in letting resources within timescales under the Councils’ allocation schemes under their sovereign duties
- To ensure all vacant properties are kept empty for a minimum period. To monitor and maintain all statistical and detailed performance information relating to the re-letting of all properties let.
- To liaise with Council departments and referral agencies regarding appropriate letting of adapted properties and specific clients on the Councils’ housing queues.
- To create and implement innovative opportunities to increase housing mobility and ensure that there are processes and systems to implement such moves to all tenants, particularly under-occupying tenants
