Executive Officer

This is a unique opportunity to work as an Executive Officer. You will join The Environment and Community Services Directorate (ECS) within Richmond and Wandsworth Shared Services. 

Who we are
ECS is responsible for a diverse remit of services across both boroughs such as parks and open spaces, waste management, highways, engineering and planning.  We need a highly organised Executive Officer who can provide excellent and broad-ranging administration support to our dedicated management team.

You will be joining an established team of Executive Officers delivering the highest standards of customer service across our Richmond and Wandsworth sites. 

Job Purpose
You will be the all-important first point of contact, resolving queries over the phone, written correspondence and emails from members of the public, elected members (Councillors), Members of Parliament, residents, staff and the Local Government Ombudsman. You will also be required to take minutes at Cabinet meetings as and when required.

About you
This is a varied role and expectations are that you will work across both Richmond and Wandsworth sites. Please note due to COVID-19 you may be asked to work from home until further notice.

We are looking for the following key skills:

  • You must be able to manage competing demands on your time with common sense and a flexible approach.  
  • Solid administrative experience in a customer-facing team.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Flexibility, with a can-do approach to your work.
  • Commitment to confidentiality.
  • IT Literate.
