Habilitation Specialist - Linden Lodge School

The Role

36 Hours per week
Working Pattern: Term Time Only - 39 Weeks per year
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: 1 Year Fixed Term with potential to be made permanent

We have an opportunity for someone to join our highly motivated and skilled team as a Habilitation Specialist. The postholder will play a central role in helping students develop essentials skills they can use inside and outside the classroom. The department’s key goal is to provide students with the skills to enable them to live a full and independent life.

This is an opportunity for someone who is passionate about transforming young peoples’ lives, promoting independence and has a desire to develop their career within Special Educational Needs. You'll be working within an experienced team of colleagues committed to providing high quality support to the children and young people across the school and Wandsworth Borough.

The successful candidate will be undertaking work both within Linden Lodge School and on external work that the Wandsworth Sensory Support Service undertakes. There will therefore be some travelling as part of this role.

Applicants must hold a Graduate Diploma in Habilitation and Disabilities of Sight (Children and Young People) (or equivalent). Full RQHS would be an advantage but candidates needing to complete their 1 years pre-registration practice will be considered.
