The Role

1 X Permanent post
1 X Maternity cover (from 01.09.2019 to 31.08.2020) (1 YEAR)
36 hours per week
Term time only (39 weeks)
Start date –September 2019

Hillbrook Primary School is a very happy and successful learning community where everyone is welcomed and valued.  We are a large 3 – 4 form entry school based in the heart of Tooting in South West London and very close to both Tooting Bec and Tooting Broadway Stations. We are proud to be an outstanding school with a great reputation and close links to our community.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, confident and caring person to join our friendly and dedicated team.

You will need: -

  • To be flexible and have the ability to motivate and inspire children
  • To work alongside all staff to provide proactive support for vulnerable children and their families to promote achievement and well being
  • To be able to show initiative and ‘think outside the box’ when necessary
  • To be an excellent communicator and team player who can form positive relationships with a range of different people.
  • To engage and support individual children in order to reduce exclusions, increase attendance and raise attainment by working to remove barriers to learning.
  • To work with all staff to deliver care and support programmes to address the needs of different children who require support and to raise learning participation and access to the curriculum
  • To work with a range of external networks and partnerships to enhance learning opportunities and provide a positive learning experience for children as they move through our school
  • To provide training, advice, support and guidance to parents as appropriate
