Planning Technical Support Manager

The Role

Following the re-organisation of the Development Management Technical Support and validation teams in Richmond and Wandsworth, we have an exciting opportunity for the post of newly created Planning Technical Support Manager.

With excellent communication skills you will be responsible to the Heads of Development Management at Richmond and Wandsworth  for the delivery of high quality, good value, at speed validations and administration support function for the Development Management Service.

 

You will  operate at a strategic level maximising opportunities for on-line and self-service developments within the dedicated IT system, ensure best practice for the validation and registration of all planning applications, appeal work and enforcement cases and  ensure that all Technical Support tasks are undertaken in an efficient manner

 

You will provide a top quality service to a full range of customers and ensure that local  and corporate objectives are monitored and achieved to ensure the planning service for Richmond and Wandsworth Councils is recognised as one of the best performing planning services in London.

 

You’ll have excellent communication and customer care skills, the ability to work flexibly and lead a busy and high performing team. You will be highly IT savvy and look to use your strengths to drive efficiency and performance,  while we will provide you with opportunities to undertake relevant training to help you develop in your role and further progress your career
