The Role

An opportunity has arisen in the Policy and Performance Team, for a support officer in the Housing and Regeneration Department working in a ground-breaking shared staffing organisation that serves two sovereign and high performing London boroughs.

The Policy and Performance Team is a busy team focused on developing housing strategy and policy, promoting best practice, providing performance information and helping front line housing services deliver effective and consistent services.  The role of the Support Officer is to provide the lead on performance reporting for the Department.

We are looking for a dynamic individual to lead on performance and data analysis for the team.  This will include reviewing top line performance indicators and working across the Department to complete quarterly submissions and providing performance reports to Area Housing Panels and the Co-op Forum.  The role will also deal with FOIs, adhoc queries and will provide support to the Policy and Performance Team.  There will be opportunities to work with partners and stakeholders inside and outside the Council.  The scope of the portfolio provides exciting opportunities and would be subject to discussion.

You’ll need up to date knowledge of both national housing policies and current housing issues, be a good communicator, have excellent report writing, numerical and analytical skills and sound IT abilities.  Full training and mentoring will be provided.

In return, we can offer you working arrangements that will enhance your work-life balance.  These include compressed hours and home working and a generous holiday allowance of 31 days plus bank holidays.

In addition, we offer a range of staff benefits such as Performance Related Pay, membership of the Local Government contributory pension scheme, childcare vouchers, new technology scheme, interest-free loans on annual travel cards, discounts at many leisure activities, restaurants, shops and other establishments.
