Principal Business Support Officer

The Role

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Principal Business Support Officer to join our front door in Children’s Services, in the Referral and Assessment Team / the Initial Point of Contact Team. You will have existing or previous supervisory experience of a support team in a children's social care environment.

You will work within one of the Assessment Teams and supervise 10 Business Support Staff. Also, you will be responsible for ensuring that staff support the social workers to carry out their statutory duties. The main areas of work are information and referral; allocation and closures; finance; initial health assessments; recruitment, supervision and performance management and data and reporting.

This is a challenging post in a fast-moving service. We are looking for someone to help shape and develop business support to meet the needs of this busy area.
