Qualified Teacher of the Visually Impaired – Secondary - Linden Lodge School

The Role

(An additional SEN point is available to applicants with the Mandatory Qualification in Vision Impairment/Hearing Impairment/multisensory impairment)
Hours: Full-Time / Part-time
Required: September 2019

Linden Lodge School is a special school for the sensory impaired in Wimbledon. We are an ambitious school striving to achieve outstanding outcomes for our students.

We are looking to appoint a Teacher of the visually impaired to work with our academically able secondary aged students. The ideal candidate will be an outstanding secondary teacher with a passion for raising attainment and high expectations. They will also have the ability to inspire pupils, be committed to high standards and possess the ability to enable our pupils to achieve their full potential in all areas of learning.

This post would suit a secondary mainstream teacher or SENCO looking to develop their career in SEND.

We are looking for outstanding teachers who:

• Can deliver Maths or Science or other core subjects to GCSE
• Are committed to ensuring every pupil reaches their full potential
• Are creative and innovative in their teaching
• Are able to demonstrate a positive caring attitude
• Are highly organised and able to plan, model and deliver outstanding teaching to GCSE
• Are committed to working in partnership with families and other professionals to achieve the best outcomes for pupils
• Embrace change and innovation positively
