Residential Worker (Maternity Cover) - Oak Lodge School

The Role

40 hours per week (39 weeks term-time only)

Phoenix House Residential Service forms an integral part of the school. We provide accommodation for a maximum of fifteen young people aged 11-19 years.
Phoenix House is looking for a Residential Worker to provide support for students with a wide range of needs and communication methods. The students reside in Phoenix House for 1-4 nights a week and staff are required to undertake limited sleep-in duties to facilitate this.

Staff must be able to work shift hours, on rota, as required, usually between the hours of 7am–9am and 3pm–10.30pm plus sleep –in duties. We are looking for a Residential Worker who has excellent communication skills, with a good knowledge of D/deafness, communication difficulties, positive behaviour management and additional health and educational needs. Experience of personal care support is preferable.
