We are looking to recruit a permanent Senior Evolve Practitioner to join our amazing team in Wandsworth and help play a central role in achieving positive outcomes for vulnerable young people in the borough!

About the service

We are committed and passionate about providing services to young people and their families/carers aged 11-25 years affected by going missing, criminal exploitation, sexual exploitation, serious youth violence and gang affiliation.

About the team

The Evolve Adolescent Exploitation team is a newly merged, friendly and supportive team that together holds significant expertise and experience in this specific field of work. We are looking for a senior practitioner to help ensure we continue to deliver the best outcomes for children and families in Wandsworth.

We are a trauma informed team and work along trauma involved principles. We use two training models called AMBIT and DDP. Our work is young people lead and we work with them to understand where they are at and what they need from us. Our services are not a statutory requirement and young people choose to work with us.

About the role

The successful candidate will support the Evolve team in providing professional support, supervision of practitioners, engagement and consultation with partners to ensure the best outcomes for children and families affected by exploitation and youth violence.

The post holder will support the use of the Signs of Safety and Wellbeing framework, AMBIT and DDP models across all staff in the team and partner agencies.  You will be a role model of good practice in adolescent exploitation - open and responsive to the needs of the team, the young people we work with, and the community that we work on behalf of.

To be considered for interview your CV and personal statement will evidence the following:

  • Qualification at degree level or above in a relevant field for example health care, early years, youth services, family and social care or equivalent experience
  • Experience of working with vulnerable adolescents – particularly within the fields of CSE, CCE, Missing, Gangs and youth violence. 
  • Ability to communicate with colleagues, multi-agency partners, young people and their families.
  • A high level of commitment, initiative and motivation to work with and on behalf of some of the most vulnerable young people in the Borough.
