We’re looking for a motivated Senior Social Worker to join our dynamic Front Door Service in Richmond/Wandsworth. The Community Advice and Support Team or CAST is a fast-paced, innovative team focused on strengths-based, person-centred practice — putting residents at the heart of everything we do.
What You’ll Do:

- Manage complex cases and safeguarding concerns

About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Social Worker to join our fast-paced and evolving CAST team, part of the Front Door Service. CAST is at the forefront of innovation, moving away from process-led interventions to a dynamic, strengths-based model that places residents at the heart of everything we do.
As a Senior Social Worker, you’ll play a key leadership role — supporting the Assistant Service Manager and Service Manager in delivering high-quality, person-centred services. You’ll supervise and guide Social Workers and Social Care Assessors, manage complex cases, and act as a Safeguarding Adults Manager (SAM).

What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading and supervising a team of Social Workers and Social Care Assessors.
- Managing complex cases and safeguarding concerns.
- Supporting the allocation and oversight of incoming work.
- Promoting independence and personalisation in care planning.
- Deputising for the Assistant Service Manager when required.
Who We’re Looking For
We’re seeking someone who:
- Has a “can do” attitude and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
- Is passionate about delivering high standards of care and safeguarding.
- Brings strong leadership, decision-making, and time management skills.
- Values collaboration and partnership working.
- Holds a degree in Social Work and is SWE registered.
- Has substantial post-qualification experience in adult social care.
Essential Skills & Knowledge
- In-depth understanding of the Care Act 2014, safeguarding legislation, and strengths-based practice.
- Experience in supervising staff and managing performance.
- Ability to make rapid decisions, especially in emergency situations.
- Strong communication, IT, and organisational skills.
