Social Worker

The Role

We are looking for experienced, qualified, HCPC registered Social Worker to undertake the role of Social Worker in the Teddington and Twickenham Locality Team.

Based in both Whitton and Teddington, you will be part of our large, stable, friendly and supportive team. We have a strong sense of identity and purpose and embrace flexibility of working, and welcome part time applicants. Co-located with our community health colleagues, we pride ourselves on the excellent multi-disciplinary work and proactive support we provide in our local community.

There are excellent road, train and bus links into London and outer London, Surrey and beyond.

As a qualified, HCPC registered Social Worker key aspects of your role will include using a strength based approach to undertaking assessments of individual and carers needs and risks in the community.

This will involve working in partnership with key agencies to support with the aim of maximising independence, well being and choice.

The role will also involve undertaking statutory interventions in accordance with Inter-Agency Policy and Procedures for Safeguarding Adults.

You should have statutory post qualification experience along with a good knowledge of relevant legislation and local authority responsibilities in the safeguarding of vulnerable adults. In addition, good communication, decision-making and time management skills are essential.
