The Role

27.5 hours per week (9am to 3.30pm)
Term Time Only (39 weeks) (38 weeks + 5 INSET days)
Required to start as soon as possible

We are looking for two Learning Support Assistants to provide support for individual children with special educational needs.  You would also be required to help the class teacher with classroom organisation and administration as well as to support individual children on the playground if required.  These posts are event linked which means that when the child you are assigned to leaves the school the post will cease. 
 
You will support children’s learning and development, help to plan and organise activities and the learning environment and, contribute to the overall ethos, work and aims of the school.  You will also be required to participate in training and other learning activities as necessary.

Experience of working with children with SEN is desirable and you should have experience of working with children in a mainstream educational setting and hold a qualification in child care.  You will need to have good verbal and written communication skills and a commitment to helping children to do their best.  

You will be joining a hard working and friendly team and you will be provided with support, guidance and training organised by our SENCo.
