Administrative Officer

The Role

The Area Teams are looking for five enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our Area Teams as an Administration Officer.

 

The posts involve the provision of administrative support to both technical and management officers. You will deal with telephone and personal enquiries from members of the public, contractors, and leaseholders both face to face and via telephone.

 

You will require sound administrative, numerical and a good working knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook, and the ability to learn other IT packages such as our Housing Management Database, Northgate Public Services (NPS) Full Training will be provided.  You will need to be able to issue repair orders, process invoices for payment and maintain computer and manual records.

 

You must be able to work as part of a busy team dealing sympathetically with members of the public, often in stressful and demanding circumstances whilst retaining a keen eye for detail and the ability to work on your own initiative.

 

You will need a good understanding of and commitment to the council’s Equal Opportunities policies as they apply to service delivery.
