Administrative Support Assistant - Safeguarding - Linden Lodge School

The Role


Hours: Full Time – 36 Hours per week
Working Pattern: Term time only + 1 week (40 weeks per year)
Required: September 2019
Please note this post is to cover Maternity Leave and will last up to 12 months.

Linden Lodge School is a leading provider of education for visually-impaired children and young people aged 2 – 19 years. We are constantly building and growing our provision and an opportunity to join our skilled and highly motivated team supporting the Headteacher as an Administrative Support Assistant - Safeguarding has become available.

This is an exciting time to join the school. In our recent OFSTED of the residential department, Leadership and Management was judged “outstanding” (January 2019) where “leaders’ expert knowledge and steadfast commitment to children have inspired them to continue their own professional journeys”. We have an impressive three acre campus in Wimbledon offering fabulous indoor and outdoor innovative facilities to support teaching and learning.

We are looking for an administrator to assist the Headteacher in providing administrative support for safeguarding processes and procedures. The post holder will provide effective and efficient support for key meetings ensuring that key safeguarding deadlines are met both effectively and accurately. The postholder will need to be able to learn new processes and procedures quickly and effectively.

Our ideal candidate will have experience in the use of key Microsoft Office functions, Excellent organisation and prioritisation and communication skills (both written and verbal). The postholder will also need to have high expectations and a calm approach with a particular awareness for the need for confidentiality around safeguarding matters.

This role would suit a graduate who is looking for their first step on the career path in this line of work.

High levels of confidentiality and resilience in handling emotionally challenging situations are essential.
