Fruity Club is an after school care service running at St Mary's RC school in Battersea, near to Battersea Park train station.

At Fruity Club, we are fully aware that as much as providing a service for working parents to rely on, we are firstly providing care for the children that join us. We want them to have a home from home, where warmth, routine, discipline and stimulus are provided. Children will arrive at our club after a full and challenging day at school and although tired, will be looking to belong in an environment where they can have security and care, be supported by the staff and the children around them, and have stimulating and social activity.

We are looking for a After School Club Manager to work with the children (age range, Nursery to Year 6), to collaborate with the senior management and other staff, and provide activities and care for the children.

The post-holder will be responsible to the General Manager, and the Director of Fruity Club Ltd.

You will have:

Experience in Teaching: 1 year (preferred)
Experience Early Years, Primary & Secondary School Teachers: 1 year (required)
    NVQ3 in childcare (required)

Please note, Health and social care is not considered an equivalent to NVQ 3 in childcare.

Role involves:

To ensure care, wellbeing and safeguarding of Early Years and KS1, KS2 children in the club.
Work with all staff to ensure and provide care, play opportunities and activities in a homely, nurturing, and safe environment, with regard to the individual development needs of the children.
To manage onsite staff to ensure good daily running of the club
Liaise with the general manager with regard to the needs of the children who attend the club.
