After School Club Manager - Shaftesbury Park Primary School

The Role

Term-time +1 week (40 weeks per year)
Required as soon as possible

Shaftesbury Park is an ambitious, forward thinking, Rights Respecting School. We are looking for a Manager to lead our popular After School Club provision, providing high quality play opportunities in a safe and stimulating environment. They will be committed to working towards fulfilling the school’s commitment to a high quality of service and will promote and embody our vision and Rights Respecting Schools ethos.

You will:

• Have an NVQ Level 3 qualification in playwork or childcare and be able to demonstrate levels of numeracy and literacy equivalent to GCSE A-C
• Have experience in managing staff in an extracurricular/extended day setting
• Have experience of working with children aged 2 – 11 years
• Have a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all our children
• Have an understanding of the importance of behaviour management strategies.
• Have a knowledge of policies and procedures relating to child protection, health and safety, security, equal opportunities and confidentiality.
• Be able to provide and facilitate inclusive, safe and creative play
• Possess good interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively as a team member
• Have the ability to use initiative
• Be able to demonstrate consistently high standards of personal and professional conduct, and uphold the ethos, policies and practices of the school
• Be able to carry out all responsibilities within an equal opportunities framework
