Allfarthing Primary School Excellence for All

Allfarthing Primary School is a community that thrives on ambition, warmth and a shared belief that every pupil deserves an exceptional education. Located in the heart of Wandsworth, our school is a place where innovation meets community excellence. We are proud of our vibrant, diverse community and our commitment to providing a nurturing and aspirational environment.

Joining us means joining a team that is genuinely supportive. We know that leadership can be demanding, which is why we prioritise a culture of collaboration. Working at Allfarthing means being part of a forward-thinking leadership team that values your voice, respects your expertise and encourages you to take risks in the pursuit of excellence.

Above all we are looking for a practitioner who will play a key role in contributing to our ethos of Excellence for All. We are seeking to appoint an individual who is passionate about living our school values, Be Kind - Be Safe - Go Above and Beyond, embracing the opportunity to make a difference to the lives of all our pupils.

What we are looking for:

  • A strategic, creative and forward thinker, with the drive and enthusiasm to develop the highest expectations of teaching and learning across the school.
  • An individual with a strong commitment to promoting inclusion and diversity through strategic planning.
  • An excellent practitioner with a proven track record of driving teaching and learning across a school.
  • A leader with a strong understanding of both relational and restorative practice when supporting behaviour.
  • A confident speaker with experience in leading presentations to a wide range of stakeholders.
  • An individual who can demonstrate previous whole-school impact and improvement in an area of responsibility.
  • A practitioner who is evidence-informed in their decision-making.
  • An excellent communicator who works inclusively with all stakeholders.
  • A practitioner who inspires and motivates staff and children.

This role will consist of two days of teaching commitments a week.

We offer:

  • A chance to thrive in a highly ambitious school, working in partnership with a leadership team that is passionate about continued school development.
  • A team dedicated to constant improvement, innovation and evaluation based around our ‘Allfarthing Absolutes’ – oracy, metacognition, adaptive learning and assessment for learning.
  • Motivated children who are keen to learn and are enthusiastic about school. External partners regularly spotlight our outstanding behaviour for learning.
  • A genuine commitment to inclusion. We are currently being assessed to be a Centre of Excellence for the Inclusion Quality Mark, have retained our National Wellbeing Award and have been nominated by Wandsworth to share our practice at a London-wide inclusion showcase in July.
  • A restorative behaviour approach based on relational practice and with kindness at its heart.
  • A school with an increasing pupil roll and financial reserves to safeguard future development.
  • The school has excellent travel links with free parking available on site.
