The Role

Ernest Bevin College is seeking an exceptional Assistant Principal – Quality of Education: Teaching and Learning to join our Leadership Team. This is a key strategic role and the appointed candidate will be an exceptional leader and manager who will come with a proven track record of raising attainment and standards.

We wish to appoint an outstanding professional with a commitment, enthusiasm and passion for all aspects of school improvement with responsibility for improving literacy.

We are looking to appoint an outstanding classroom practitioner who has experience of raising standards beyond their own classroom in a leadership capacity. This is a vital role for the school in ensuring the college maintains its journey to Outstanding.

Ernest Bevin College is a vibrant school full of young, enthusiastic boys who want to succeed. It’s a school where the staff are dedicated to giving each and every student the education that opens doors to any path they wish to tread in the future.

We offer elite sport and have fantastic facilities including a swimming pool and a fitness studio which are used by students, staff and the community.

At GCSE the achievement of our boys outperforms every headline measure of boys for Local Authority Maintained schools. In 2020 our A*-C results at A Level improved by 12% and over 120 students from our mixed Sixth Form took up places at some of the finest universities in the country.
