Best Interest Assessor
The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the DOLS team on fixed term/Secondment until 31.03.2022. You will be a qualified Best Interest Assessor and will have a thorough knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act, the deprivation of liberty code of practice, and emerging care law. You will join the MCA and DOLS team and undertake Best Interest Assessments to safeguard people who are being deprived of their liberty for the purposes of care and treatment. Assessments are being undertaken flexibly (remote and face to face) as a result of the pandemic.
You will be joining a small established team of best interest assessors providing quality assessments. In return you will receive professional supervision, legal updates, refresher training and peer support to enhance and to develop your professional practice.
