Building Services Officer

The Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive FM Building Services Officer who is able to offer first class customer service in Richmond and Wandsworth Town Hall civic buildings. You must have a “can do” attitude and an aptitude for resolving issues with a positive and practical approach. As a key member of the FM team you must be well presented and have excellent customer service skills with a desire to deliver first class service in this very busy SSA Facilities Management Team.

You must also be willing and able to work as part of a shift rota system which includes early mornings and late nights plus Saturday working.

This is a dynamic service that brings a fresh approach to Facilities Management with the team operating across both Richmond and Wandsworth Councils bringing a unique employment opportunity.

We are looking to appoint a FM Building Services Officer who will be responsible for;

  • Porter duties
  • Unlocking and locking premises
  • Meeting room and hall hire set-ups
  • Reactive maintenance tasks allocated via the FM Helpdesk including low level plumbing, re-lamping, lock and furniture repairs
  • Non-technical Planned Maintenance including water hygiene, emergency lighting and fire alarm sounder testing.
  • Providing FM support to out of hours events including but not limited to weddings and Council meetings
  • Responsible for new integrated contractor and supply chain partner building inductions.
  • Regular inspection and recording of vacant properties.
