Business Support Officer

About Us

The London Boroughs of Richmond and Wandsworth have come together in a Shared Staffing Arrangement (SSA) to share expertise, increase efficiency and create economies of scale and deliver a first-class service. As a Business Support Officer this gives you an exciting opportunity to join a team working across both Boroughs.

We are seeking a well-organised, motivated, and positive Business Support Officer who is experienced in delivering a highly efficient and smooth service

This is a fast paced and variable role where no day will be the same. We are looking for someone who possesses excellent organisational and problem-solving skills. You will need to have the ability to handle diary management and administrative systems. This role would be suited to a confident multi-tasker who is able to manage competing demands whilst at the same time maintaining a good eye for detail.  You should enjoy working as part of an effective team but also work independently to a high standard.

You will have experience of working in an administrative/ support role and be able to:

Knowledge of business support systems, particularly those connected to procurement and payments.

Demonstrate tact and diplomacy with a 'can do' attitude towards work.

Be a good communicator, show a strong customer care focus.

Demonstrate good written, numerical and IT skills

Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise work to meet deadlines.

This role will involve regular working from the council office.

You will need to bring both your experience and fresh perspectives to the team that delivers administrative and financial support to the Chief Executives Group.
