Objective of role  

Are you an experienced and organised Business Support professional with a keen eye for detail?

If you are a well-organised, motivated, and positive individual who is experienced in delivering a highly efficient and smooth service relating to administrative, business, legal and member support we are looking for you. 

This is a fast paced and variable role where no day will be the same. You will need to possesses excellent organisational and problem-solving skills. You will need to have the ability to handle diary management, administrative systems and handling enquiries from Elected Members. This role would be suited to someone who is able to manage competing demands.  You should enjoy working as part of an effective team but also be able to work independently to a high standard.


About the role  

This role entails supporting business operations with a focus on administrative tasks related to procurement and payments. The responsibilities include managing business support systems efficiently, ensuring smooth workflows, and maintaining high standards of customer care. 

You must demonstrate professionalism, tact, and a proactive attitude, while excelling in organisational, written, numerical, and IT skills. Prioritising tasks and adhering to deadlines are key aspects of the role.

Additionally, this position requires strong communication skills to effectively liaise with stakeholders and maintain positive relationships. Expertise in handling sensitive situations with diplomacy and adaptability is essential, along with a thorough understanding of business tools and processes to drive efficiency.

Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience

•    Administrative/Support Role Experience: Proven track record in administrative or support roles

•    Knowledge of Business Support Systems: Familiarity with systems related to procurement and payments

   Tact and Diplomacy: Ability to handle situations with sensitivity and a proactive, positive attitude

•    Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication, along with a focus on excellent customer care

.•    Written, Numerical, and IT Skills: Proficiency in written communication, numeracy, and IT tools

.•    Organisational and Time Management Skills: Exceptional organisational abilities to manage priorities and meet deadlines efficiently
