The Role

This is an exciting time to join the CSE and Missing Team – we’re recruiting for maternity cover for a Consultant Social Worker as we expand and develop the specialist work we deliver. We are proud of the work that we do with young people and the strong links that we have built with our multi agency partners.

It’s a key role providing dedicated support and consultation to social workers and multi-agency professionals regarding the support and safeguarding of vulnerable adolescents, particularly those who are at risk or who have been victims of criminal or sexual exploitation.  The role involves some limited casework with complex cases.

This post will require innovative multi agency working and post holders must possess a high level of commitment, initiative and motivation to work with some of the most vulnerable young people in the Borough.

We are looking for a social worker with strong youth work skills, understanding and awareness of CSE, Missing, Exploitation, Sexual Health, and vulnerable young people at risk.

You will need to have commitment, confidence and creativity to deliver training, assess vulnerability and risk, and an ability to advocate for and on behalf of vulnerable young people whose voices need to be heard is also a central focus for this role.

We can offer team members clear and regular supervision and support, as well as learning and training opportunities.
