Casual Cycle Training Instructor
The Role
The London Boroughs of Wandsworth and Richmond are seeking to recruit qualified Bikeability cycle trainers on casual contracts.
We are seeking enthusiastic cyclists to join the Road Safety Team on a casual contract, to help increase the number of children and adults trained, to cycle safely. You need to be a confident cyclist, to Level 3, and happy to work in all weathers.
You will be responsible for delivering Bikeability to the National Standards on an ad-hoc basis to adults, families, and children during, daytimes, evenings, and weekends.
The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic, friendly team and will also assist with campaigns and projects which aim to raise the profile of cycling amongst local and school communities.
This position would best suit a candidate who is a competent cyclist, driven and passionate about increasing the level of cycling in the area and working with and developing young people. The successful candidate will possess the knowledge and experience to work independently and follow programmes or lesson plans. It would be beneficial to have knowledge and experience delivering Cycle and Road Safety initiatives or have experience coaching cycling or other sports.
