Casual Swimming Instructor (Teddington and Richmond)
£17 per hour plus holiday relief allowance

Where you’ll be working
Our pools are located in Richmond and Teddington and you’ll be expected to work across both sites with this role.

  • Facilities at Teddington Pools & Fitness Centre include a main pool, learner pool, fitness suite, spin studio, exercise studio and hydrotherapy pool.
  • Facilities at Pools on the Park include indoor main and teaching pools, heated outdoor pool and grounds, fitness suite, health suite, café and two studio spaces.

What you’ll be doing
You’ll be part of our swimming instructor team at both pool sites, providing professional and friendly tuition to both adults and juniors. This could be in a class setting or on a 1 to 1 basis.

Making sure that all pupils are kept in a safe and secure environment, delivering great customer service and ensuring the facilities are clean, safe and staffed, so that every customer has a great experience.

You’ll be expected to plan lessons, develop programmes and keep accurate records on attendances etc.

You'll be asked to cover programmed swimming lessons that are currently held during term time on weekdays from 3.30pm onwards. In addition and subject to demand, instructors may be offered mutually convenient bookings for 1-2-1 and 1-2-2 swimming lessons with clients.

What we’ll need from you
We ask that you are qualified and hold a minimum of ASA Level 2 for this role. A first aid qualification and some experience would also be very desirable. Good communication and organisational skills are essential for this role. 

You’ll also need a good knowledge of Health & Safety issues and an understanding of Diversity and Equality in employment and provision of service. 

What we can offer you
£17 per hour (plus holiday pay allowance on top of this)

We’ll offer you casual shifts covering daytime or evenings, both during the week and at weekends (depending on the centre).  Any shifts offered would be by mutual agreement, so you can always fit in work around your other commitments.
