Community Safety Officer

The Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our Community Safety Team as a Community Safety Officer.

You will be responsible for a defined geographic area and for building strong relationships with statutory and voluntary sector organisations, communities and individuals to collectively address persistent and problematic crime and anti-social behaviour. You will need to encourage and develop the involvement of the public through Online Watch Link (OWL) platform, Neighbourhoods Watch and business participation groups and work to deliver priorities and actions in the Community Safety Plan.

You will need to have effective investigative skills and the ability to produce timely briefings/reports on key initiatives and their outcomes.

Knowledge of the ECINS platform is desirable but not essential.

You will report directly to the Community Safety Team Manager.
