The Role

As one of a small number of local authorities on the Government’s Early Adopters Programme, we have an exciting opportunity for a new Compliance Administrator in our expanding Housing Strategy and Development team.

Reporting to the Strategic Technical and Compliance Manager, you will play a lead role in ensuring all our residents are safe in their homes.  The team will provide assurance both to tenants and leaseholders in our 33,000 homes, whilst also working with our Development team to ensure new homes in our pipeline are also built to the required standards.

The role will include providing administrative support on fire safety, energy efficiency and responsibility for asbestos and water quality management.  You will be responsible for monitoring and updating systems to ensure that records and data quality are being maintained.  The opportunity is great for someone keen to gain an understanding of compliance, asset management and energy efficiency.

You will have a proactive approach and willingness to build effective relationships with residents, other departmental teams and key stakeholders across the organisation.

You will need to be a good communicator, well organised, have excellent written, numerical and analytical skills and sound IT abilities.

In return, we can offer you working arrangements that will enhance your work-life balance. These include compressed hours, home working (dependent on service need) and annualised hours and a generous holiday allowance of 31 days plus bank holidays.
