Job Title: Contract Supervisor (Assets)
Salary Range: £42,429 - £49,638
Full Time Permanent , 36 hours per week
Location: Frogmore Complex, Wandsworth, SW18 1EY
Objective of role
Do you have the ability to lead and motivate a team of frontline workers? Can you make sure works are completed on time and to cost? Working in the Traffic and Street Lighting/Highways team, you will be receiving requests from our clients for a variety of different jobs. You will need to prioritize these requests and oversee the jobs until completion. This requires you to balance great people management skills with scheduling works for your team to keep on top of a busy workload.
.About the role
The Contract Supervisor role is a busy, varied role which requires great people and problem-solving skills, clear communication, and the ability to manage a busy workload. You will work as part of a team overseeing and delivering vital work throughout the borough. You will be responsible for supervising all aspects of routine and non-routine maintenance and installation works carried out by the section on the boroughs’ road networks, ensuring works are carried out safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively. Additionally, you will handle all administrative tasks associated with the day-to-day running of the operation, including scheduling works and invoicing.
Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Experience: Proven experience in Street Lighting, Traffic, and Highways. Experience managing teams of trade contractors.Knowledge: Extensive knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety Legislation and requirements in connection with works on the highway.
Caseload Management: Ability to supervise all aspects of routine and non-routine maintenance and installation works, ensuring they are carried out safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively.
Administration Skills: Strong administrative skills are essential for scheduling works and invoicing.
Qualifications: NRSWA Supervisory level preferred
