Control Officer

About Us

We are looking for enthusiastic, self-motivated individual to join our Joint Control Centre. You will work as part of a team in a 24-hour emergency control room covering the Boroughs of Richmond and Wandsworth. You will be responsible for receiving and processing calls from the public, contractors, outside agencies, and partners and monitor two-way radio, CCTV, personal alarm systems and to respond in line with codes of conduct.

The service operates over 24 hours on a shift basis (including early, late, and night shifts).

Key areas of work include Monitoring CCTV and providing data for the Police, Responding to Careline & Watch Telecare Alarms, Richmond, and Wandsworth Emergency Control duties. 

You will need the ability to work under pressure and use your own initiative, be part of a team and respond to the values of the council and your co-workers.  Flexibility and adaptability to an ever-changing service are required.
