Cost of Living Project Manager
The Role
Are you looking for a role where you can make a difference?
Do you have experience in managing projects within local government or the voluntary sector?
If yes, we have a perfect role for you!
Richmond and Wandsworth Councils are looking for two project managers to lead on cross-cutting projects that support our residents through the Cost of Living Crisis. A Cost of Living Programme team has been established to oversee the allocation of funding and delivery of projects that will help residents with both immediate crisis assistance and longer term resilience to financial shocks.
About the role
The post holders will lead on cross-cutting Cost of Living projects that deliver on the longer term aims of the programme, specifically, how we work in partnership with the voluntary and community sector to support residents, how data and insight is embedded across all departments and how we can change as an organisation to put people before process when supporting those in poverty or who are struggling with the cost of living.
This is a great opportunity to take the lead on projects that stretch across the Council and wider voluntary sector, working as part of a small and friendly team to support some of our most vulnerable residents.
This is a 2-year fixed term contract with an opportunity for a secondment.
You’ll need:
- To have a good working knowledge and experience of project management;
- To have a good working knowledge and experience of working successfully with key stakeholders, ideally including Voluntary and Community Sector partners;
- To have a strong understanding of the drivers of the Cost of Living Crisis;
- And understanding and best practice on tackling poverty and improving financial resilience.
