Culture Marketing and Communications Assistant
The Role
Wandsworth's Arts and Culture Service are looking for a Marketing and Communications Assistant to join our team. The Arts and Culture Service deliver the annual Wandsworth Arts Fringe, Wandsworth Art and Wandsworth Artist Open House, creative education programmes and cultural regeneration projects which embed cultural opportunities into the local community.
The Arts and Culture Marketing and Communications Assistant will work closely with the Arts and Culture Marketing and Communications Manager, and all other members of the Arts and Culture Service, as well as the Council’s wider central Communications team to support the delivery of our marketing and communications strategies and communicate the breadth of our work, attracting audiences and recruiting participants.
This dynamic and varied role requires someone who is passionate about growing audiences for the arts and is a strong communicator with imaginative ideas. With at least 1 year of marketing experience, ideally in arts marketing, this role requires someone proactive and well organised with the ability to juggle multiple projects.
The successful candidate will join an award-winning Arts and Culture Service, within a borough that prides itself on delivering a wide range of creative opportunities for everyone living, working and visiting the borough. Your role:
- Maintain and update arts service websites (Wandsworth Council arts pages, Wandsworth Arts Fringe and Wandsworth Artists’ Open House), collate information for e-newsletters and fliers, and proactively pursue other online opportunities to promote the arts services work.
- Support the delivery of audience development plans for the arts service’s larger projects through collecting analysis of Collect, collate visitor/audience data.
- Work with arts and culture service partners to source materials, interesting content and images to support the marketing and PR of the various programmes and projects.
- Support the Arts Marketing and Communications Manager in administrative duties such as collection and collation of press coverage, public enquires and other materials for reports, archive and presentations.
