Linden Lodge School is a leading provider of education for visually-impaired children and young people aged 2 – 19 years. We offer a range of curriculum pathways to provide pupils with opportunities to build on their individual strengths and needs and be prepared for adulthood.
Our Formal Curriculum pathway follows the statutory DfE guidance but is enriched by a specialist curriculum and wide range of enrichment opportunities. The curriculum is designed to be ambitious, innovative and engaging to prepare pupils for employment. We provide a range of accreditation pathways from Entry Level to GCSE.
We are now seeking a Curriculum Leader to further develop the Formal Curriculum so that it provides pupils with the greatest opportunity to develop their talents and confidence as learners and citizens. This is a middle leadership post and support will be provided to undertake a range of CPD opportunities such as the ‘Middle Leader coaching and Mentoring Qualification’.
Our ideal candidate will be an Outstanding secondary teacher with SEN experience with proven ability to develop and deliver a Formal Curriculum. The role would particularly suit a SENDCO or teacher with experience of working in mainstream. The role is a balance between management and teaching with the ideal candidate taking responsibility for a subject area(s).

The successful candidate must hold a qualification in Sensory impairment i.e. Vision impairment/Multi-sensory impairment/Hearing-impairment OR be willing to undertake the Mandatory qualification.
