Deputy Allocations Manager

The London Borough of Richmond upon Thames and London Borough of Wandsworth’s Shared Staff Arrangement are seeking to recruit a new Deputy Allocations & Mobility Manager to join our friendly team.
Working with Wandsworth’s Council tenants and housing partners, this post will focus on leading a service that helps tenants downsize from their accommodation.
Doing so is a key priority for us in tackling homelessness and relieving overcrowding amongst our tenants. Your team would be covering all aspects for the downsizing journey: from visiting the tenants, helping to register their application, holding associated events, making offers and right through to helping their client through the removal and incentive payments processes.
We need a Deputy Manager who is very motivated; innovative and can come up with solutions as this role also involves finding new homes by way of the many self-help housing opportunities available.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate that they have a proven track record of being able to achieve results and very strong management skills as well as showing that they can apply good practice and knowledge of housing allocations.
