Deputy SENDCO - Graveney School

Required for September 2022, applications are welcome from both experienced teachers and ECTs.

Applications are welcome from experienced SEND teachers with a SEND qualification and aspiring SENDCo’s who wish to pursue their career in SEND.  You will be key in ensuring our students achieve excellent outcomes within a supportive and nurturing learning environment.

The Department is extremely successful and employs a range of dynamic teaching styles and is committed to innovative curriculum development.  Ofsted reports that the care and education of those with SEND is outstanding.  We currently have 58 pupils with EHCPs and cater for a wide range of needs [SLCN, Dyslexia, ASC, and SEMH being the largest groups]. You will have the opportunity to teach small groups across the Key Stages 3 and 4 and may also work with some Key Stage 5 students. The successful candidate will play a vital role supporting the work of the SENDCo with the implementation of EHCP’s and admissions applications for future EHCP students.

Required ideally for the Spring Term to join our progressive and successful department. 

A relevant post graduate degree and a related qualification would be desirable.
