Where you’ll be working
You’ll join team at Shene Sports & Fitness Centre, Park Avenue, East Sheen SW14 8AT. Facilities here include a fitness suite, cycle studio, class studio, all-weather pitch and sports hall.
The centre is open to the public weekdays from 6.30am to 10pm and weekends from 9am to 7pm.
You’ll be working 36 hours per week on a rota and this will include a mix of daytime, evening and weekends shifts.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll be part of our management team overseeing the day to day operation of the Centre, so that every department runs smoothly.
Making sure that all facilities are clean, safe and staffed, so that every customer has a great experience when they visit or contact us, will be a priority for you.
This role will particularly focus on fitness provision at Shene Sports & Fitness Centre. You’ll be reviewing and improving facilities and services available within the gym and studios, increasing attendances and retention across our fitness provision.
You’ll support a team of staff, carrying out 1-2-1 and team meetings and conducting appraisals etc.

What we’ll need from you
We’re looking for someone who has previous experience of working in a leisure/fitness environment and experience of managing staff.
You must have the following qualifications in order to be considered for this role:
- A recognised sports/recreation/fitness or management qualification.
- First Aid qualification
Good communication and organisational skills are essential for this role.
You’ll also need knowledge of Health & Safety issues and an understanding of Diversity and Equality in employment and provision of service.
What we can offer you
Starting salary of £23,805pa.
(Salary progression range is £23,805 to £28,845pa).
