Duty Manager (Fitness), Full-Time

£23,167 – £27,255pa

Where you’ll be working
You’ll be based at Shene Sports & Fitness Centre, SW14 8AT. Facilities here include Fitness Suite, Cycle Studio, Fitness Studio, multi-purpose sports hall and all-weather pitch. The centre is open to the public 7 days a week from 7am to 10pm.

What you’ll be doing

  • You’ll be part of our management team overseeing the day to day operation of the Centre, so that every department runs smoothly.
  • Making sure that all facilities are clean, safe and staffed, so that every customer has a great experience when they visit or contact us, will be a priority for you.
  • This role will particularly focus on fitness provision at Shene Sports & Fitness Centre. Assisting the Centre Manager, you’ll be reviewing and improving facilities and services available within the gym and studios, increasing attendances and retention across fitness provision.
  • You’ll support a small team of staff, carrying out 1-2-1 and team meetings and conducting appraisals etc.
  • Your working week will involve working a mix of shifts, which may include early and late shifts and weekends.

What we’ll need from you
We’re looking for someone who has previously worked in a leisure/sports environment, with operational management knowledge.  You’ll also need experience of managing staff, carrying out fitness testing, inductions and programming.

Essential qualifications:

  • A sports/recreation/fitness or management qualification
  • First Aid qualification

What we can offer you:  £23,167 – £27,255pa

A 36-hour working week (Full Time on shift rota) and a generous holiday allowance of 31 days per year, plus bank holidays on top of this.
