Duty Manager (Sales), Full-Time (Teddington)

The Role

Where you’ll be working:

You’ll be based at Teddington Pools & Fitness Centre, TW11 8EZ. Facilities here include indoor main and learner pools, hydrotherapy pool, fitness suite, spin studio and studio space.

The Centre is open 7 days a week from 6.30am to 10pm.

What you’ll be doing:

You’ll be part of our management team overseeing the day to day operation of the Centre, so that it runs smoothly.

Making sure that all of the facilities are clean, safe and staffed, so that every customer has a great experience when they visit or contact us, will be a priority for you.

With particular responsibility for managing the sales team, providing professional and friendly assistance with membership tours / enquiries and welcoming visitors in person to the centre. You’ll be developing staff through 1-2-1, appraisals and team meetings.

You’ll also be involved in the day to day plant operation, including topping up etc. with chemicals, backwashing and other associated duties, including water tests.

Your working week will involve working a mix of shifts, which will include early and late shifts and alternate weekends.

What we’ll need from you:

We’re looking for someone with one year’s experience of working in a health and fitness environment or relevant sales experience.  A good understanding of sales and the sales process and some pool plant experience.

Essential and desirable qualification(s):

  • A sports/recreation/management or sales qualification (essential).
  • A National Pool Lifeguard qualification (essential, but may also be obtained within 6 months of starting role).
  • First Aid qualification (desirable).
  • A National Pool Plant Operators qualification (desirable).

What we can offer you: Scale 5: £21,938 - £25,809pa, plus performance related pay.
