Duty Manager (Wetside), Full-Time, Richmond

Where you’ll be working
You’ll be based at Pools on the Park in Richmond, our busiest centre. Facilities here include indoor main and teaching pools, heated outdoor pool and grounds, fitness suite, health suite, café and two studio spaces.

What you’ll be doing
You’ll be part of our management team overseeing the day to day operation of the Centre, so that it runs smoothly. Ensuring facilities are clean, safe and staffed, so that every customer has a great experience when they visit or contact us, will be a priority for you.

You’ll be providing professional and friendly assistance with bookings / enquiries and welcoming visitors in person to the centre. You’ll be developing staff through 1-2-1, appraisals and team meetings.

This position will be heavily focused on the operational side of management including pool plant procedures (back washing / filter changes / routine maintenance), maintenance issues (gaining quotes / call outs / annual maintenance plans) and cleaning (cleaning rota / stock takes / on-going cleaning programmes).  So, you’ll be expected to have a good knowledge of pool plant operations and experience in the operational management of a wet facility.

What we’ll need from you
Good communication and organisational skills are essential for this role. 

You’ll need the following qualification(s):

  • A sports/recreation or management qualification.
  • A National Pool Lifeguard qualification.
  • A Pool Plant Operators qualification.

We’re looking for someone with previous experience and a good knowledge of Health & Safety issues and an understanding of Diversity and Equality in employment and provision of service.

What we can offer you
£25,593 - £30,108 pa .

In return, we can offer you a 36 hour working week (Full Time on shift rota) and a generous holiday allowance of 31 days per year, plus bank holidays on top of this.  In addition, we offer a range of staff benefits such as membership of the Local Government contributory pension scheme, childcare vouchers, new technology scheme, interest-free loans on annual travel cards, discounts at many leisure activities, restaurants, shops and other establishments.
