ELSA/Learning Mentor - Southmead Primary School

The Role

£21,134.54 - £22,298.90 Per annum

32.5 hours a week

Term Time only (39 weeks)

Required for September 2022

As a large 2-form entry school, with an ASD Base, there are many opportunities for professional development and to develop a wide range of experience.  New members of our team will take part in a comprehensive induction programme to enable them to understand the school’s ethos, policies and procedures.

  • Can provide exceptional support and guidance to children in all aspects of school life
  • Has proven experience of working creatively, and is able to help children overcome barriers to learning
  • Puts children and their right to an excellent education first
  • Has experience of working with vulnerable children and hard to reach families
  • Has a ‘can do’ attitude;
  • Has strong interpersonal skills.
  • Is an excellent communicator and is able to earn the trust and respect of others
  • Is able to work to their own initiative as well as part of a team
  • Is motivated, enthusiastic and creative
