Exam Invigilator - Ernest Bevin College
The Role
Required: ASAP/May 2022
Ernest Bevin College, whose students are aged between 11-19, is a vibrant and a truly inclusive all boys college with a mixed sixth form. Based in Tooting, South West London, our college takes pride in having an exceptional level of pastoral care where all staff are dedicated to giving each and every student both a quality learning experience and the life skills that opens doors to any career path they wish to tread in the future.
Our students, governors and staff are seeking reliable and confident Exam Invigilators to join us on a casual contract. The ideal candidates will have excellent communication skills, an attention to detail, abide by necessary examination regulations and the ability to use their own initiative.
The hours are flexible; it may be possible to work full days or just morning or afternoon sessions to cover different combinations of hours during the exam period. Availability during May and June 2022 is essential.
This post will involve the following:
· To keep exam papers and materials secure before, during and after exams
· To ensure exam rooms are set out according to the instructions
· To supervise candidates at all times and be vigilant throughout exams
· To keep disruption in exam rooms to a minimum
· To dismiss candidates from the exam room
· To collect exam scripts
We feel fortunate that the college is based in a diverse, vibrant and social community which has an excellent variety of transport links and this makes us easily accessible. Staff also benefit from our onsite facilities such as a swimming pool and fitness studio which can be used outside of the college day.
