Job Title: FM Maintenance and Compliance Manager (Hard FM)
Salary Range: £55,399 - £69,947

Full Time – 36 hours per week, flexible working available
Location: Wandsworth Town Hall and Civic Centre, Twickenham
Can you deliver for the people of Richmond and Wandsworth and ensure the safe running of the councils’ essential multi-site infrastructure?
The FM Maintenance and Compliance Team in Facilities Management service for Richmond and Wandsworth Councils manages the maintenance of the councils essential infrastructure including the Town halls, libraries, leisure centres, hostels and day centres.
Through effective management of this team you will ensure that these properties are adequately maintained, are safe and comfortable for both employees and service users and by doing this you will ensure that the councils can continue to deliver key and essential services to the residents of the Boroughs and ensuring that statutory building compliance is met.
You will also work alongside a wider FM team that delivers both hard and soft services throughout the councils’ operational properties.
About The Role:
Leadership and Management: You will lead a team of over 25 staff including maintenance, compliance and premises management staff, mentoring, guiding and managing a team of technical and non- technical staff including Mobile Engineers.
Contract Management: You need to demonstrate a thorough understanding maintenance contracts and supply chain partners. Making sure service level agreements are met and issues resolved on time and within budget.
Experience: Do you have proven experience in managing FM Maintenance / Hard Services in a large organisation across multiple sites.
Building Compliance: You will ensure that all building compliance and regulation is adhered to including fire safety, asbestos maintenance, electric, gas and water safety.
Prioritisation: Are you able to prioritise work, reach tight deadlines and ensure that all works are carried out to the highest possible standards, on time and in cost?
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Experience of hard facilities management in a multi-site portfolio.
- NEBOSH General certificate holder
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a large, diverse team.
- Excellent understanding of safety regulations and statutory compliance obligations within a building environment including asbestos management, fire, water, gas and electric safety.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
