Finance, Payroll and School Journeys Assistant - Graveney School

About Us

£28,574 - £29,915 per annum (FTE £31,716 - £33,204 per annum)

(GPS 5) [Spine Point 12-15]

Term Time Only plus 2 weeks (Part-time will be considered)

Required - As Soon as Possible


We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced candidate to join our Finance Department. You will undertake a range of duties associated with our payroll and accounting functions, as well as supporting trip leaders with the administration of school journeys and trips. 

This will involve processing orders and invoices across the Trust’s schools, updating electronic and manual payroll records, preparing budgets for school trips, as well as other general administrative and finance duties. You will be required to liaise with staff and outside agencies and you will have excellent communication skills. You will need to be accurate and efficient with data entry to be able to assist with the accounting functions.

Previous experience within a finance office together with the ability to use a variety of IT packages including Microsoft Office. Familiarity with the Sage 200 Accounting system [or similar] would be an advantage but not essential. You will be proficient in the use of IT which will include updating spreadsheets on Excel and databases and you will be able to work both independently and as part of a team.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication, organisational and time-management skills and be competent in using ICT.  You will be a true team player and be able to work with the flexibility this post requires.
