Actual starting salary £6,914pa for 12 hours per week (Pay award pending)

Where you’ll be working
Teddington Pools & Fitness Centre, Vicarage Road, Teddington TW11 8EZ. Facilities at this centre include main and learner pools, hydrotherapy pool, fitness suite, spin studio and exercise studio. The centre is open to the public 7 days a week from 6.30am to 10pm.

What you’ll be doing
You’ll join our fitness team, providing professional and friendly tuition, carrying out inductions and designing personalised fitness programmes.

Making sure that all fitness suite users are kept in a safe and secure environment, delivering great customer service and ensuring the facilities are clean and safe so that every customer has a great experience.

You will also be responsible for maintenance/cleanliness procedures within the gym.

What we’ll need from you
You MUST be Level 2 fitness qualified for this role, a first aid qualification and some experience. (Applicants without a valid fitness qualification with be rejected).

You’ll also have knowledge and experience of fitness testing, inductions and designing personalised exercise programmes. Good customer care, financial, administrative, marketing and programming skills are essential.

A key element of your job will be to develop the business as well as retaining existing customers.

You’ll also need a good knowledge of Health & Safety issues and an understanding of Diversity and Equality in employment and service provision.

This is a permanent, part-time role that will require you to work all year (and includes paid holidays and sick pay).

You will be required to work the following rolling 4 week shift rota, which averages out as 12 hours per week over each 4 week period:

Week 1:
Monday 6.30am to 2pm (7hrs + includes 30 min unpaid break)

Week 2:
Saturday 2.30pm to 8pm (5hrs + includes 30 min unpaid break)
Sunday 2.30pm to 8pm (5hrs + includes 30 min unpaid break)

Week 3:
Monday 6.30am to 2pm (7hrs + includes 30 min unpaid break)
Friday 6.30am to 2pm (7hrs + includes 30 min unpaid break)

Week 4:
Friday 6.30am to 2pm (7hrs + includes 30 min unpaid break)
Saturday 2.30pm to 8pm (5hrs + includes 30 min unpaid break)
Sunday 2.30pm to 8pm (5hrs + includes 30 min unpaid break)

What we can offer you: Actual starting salary of £6,914pa. (Pay Award Pending)
Salary progression scale for this role is £6,914 to £8,041pa.
