Where you’ll be working
You’ll join the team at Pools on the Park, Twickenham Road, Richmond TW9 2SF.
Facilities here include an outdoor heated pool and grounds, indoor main and teaching pools, fitness suite, 2 studio spaces, health suite and café.
The centre is open daily from 6.30am to 10pm.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll be part of our management team overseeing the day to day operation of the Centre, so that it runs smoothly.
Making sure that all of the facilities are clean, safe and staffed, so that every customer has a great experience when they visit or contact us, will be a priority for you.
With particular responsibility for managing the front of house / reception team, providing professional and friendly assistance with bookings / enquiries and welcoming visitors in person to the centre. You’ll be developing staff through 1-2-1, appraisals and team meetings.
You’ll also be involved in the day to day plant operation, including topping up etc. with chemicals, backwashing and other associated duties, including water tests.

What we’ll need from you
The following qualifications are ESSENTIAL for this role. Applicants who do not hold these qualifications cannot be shortlisted:
- A sports/recreation or management qualification.
- A National Pool Lifeguard qualification.
- First Aid qualification.
- A National Pool Plant Operators qualification.
Strong financial, admin and customer service skills are essential. You’ll also need good knowledge of Health & Safety issues and an understanding of Diversity and Equality in employment and provision of service.
Excellent communication and organisational skills are also key for this role, along with previous experience of managing and supervising staff.
You’ll be working 36 hours per week on a shift rota that will include a mix of weekdays/weekends/early and late shifts.
What we can offer you
Starting salary of £24,225pa for 36 hours per week.
(Salary progress range is £24,225 to £29,355pa).
