Head Teacher - Garratt Park School

The Role

Full Time, Permanent

Start date –September 2022

The Governors of Garratt Park School are looking for an inspiring, committed and dynamic individual to become our next Head. They will be brave, innovative and values-driven. Any Head of Garratt Park must care deeply about education and particularly the importance of special educational learning. The ideal candidate must be Compassionate, Honest, Inspirational, Respectful as well as someone who commands Respect, and act with Professionalism.at all times in line with our values.

Our students are at the centre of everything we do.

We are a unique, student-centric Wandsworth school for children and young people aged 11-19 with moderate learning difficulties, autistic spectrum disorder, speech, language and communication difficulties and a variety of other Special Educational Needs (SEN). We work with up to 215 students.

We offer a friendly and inclusive working environment and the chance to be part of a fantastic multidisciplinary team, who work hard and support each other to deliver personalised, bespoke education & care.  You will have a supportive, knowledgeable Governing Body.  We have an excellent Leadership Group, dedicated staff and students who want to achieve the best they can to enable them to be successful in the next phase of their lives.  In the context of a strong foundation, Garratt Park’s Governing Body and Leadership team are excited to develop the School even further. This is a period of positive change as we strive to be the best we can be.
