Head of Advisory Service for Autism

If the answer is yes, then we have an exciting and unique opportunity for an inspirational leader to lead our newly re-designed 0-19 Autism Advisory service and make a real difference to families and children in Wandsworth with Autism or Social Communication difficulties.

About the service

There could not be a better time to join our Children’s Services in Wandsworth. You will be joining our forward thinking and supportive Special Educational Needs and Disabilities team where you will work alongside a range of inspirational professionals dedicated to improving the outcomes for children and young people with additional needs and their families. We are proud of the diverse range of provision available in the borough which benefits children and families.

Our ASD Advisory Service has been through a comprehensive review to co-produce with parents, carers and health colleagues our revised service pathway and approach. We are very proud of our partnership working and co-production and we are looking for a leader who will continue to build on this excellent work.

About the role

The role will involve leading a multi-professional Advisory Service providing high quality, specialist support to children, families and educational settings.

We would love to hear from professionals from a range of backgrounds with:

  • Extensive knowledge of working with and supporting children with ASD.
  • Recent and relevant leadership experience in driving continuous improvement.
  • The skills to provide strong leadership, to articulate a vision and to develop a team.
  • A commitment to collaborative working with families and stakeholders.
