Head of Base and SENDCo - Tooting Primary School

Applications are invited for this key appointment to be part of a team which embraces innovation and creativity 


You will be an experienced and qualified SENDCo and be passionate about inspiring children to learn and be supportive of others in sharing best practice and working collaborative with a dedicated and committed team. 


 You will have:


    experience of working with children with ASD or who have additional learning and behavioural needs

    Be creative, flexible and able to adapt your teaching to respond to individual learners

    Have an understanding of children’s stages of development

    Be able to manage a team 

    Be committed to continuing professional development

    As part of the Graveney Trust (3 local schools) we utilize the amazing resources and expertise of an outstanding secondary school (5 consecutive Outstanding reports). 

    Our ASD Resource Base -'The Discovery Zone' supports children from Reception to Year 6 who have a diagnosis of autism and an EHCP.  We currently have 20 children taught in two extremely well-resourced classes, each with its own sensory room and high Staff:Child ratio.
