We invite you to apply to lead our successful Design & Technology Department for September 2024. We wish to appoint a dynamic and innovative practitioner to lead this popular subject within our Outstanding school. Candidates should be passionate about their subject which they can share with both staff and students, as well as having the ability to motivate and successfully steer a committed team of teachers. 

The department offers an exciting curriculum which covers Food & Nutrition, Textiles, Product Design, Resistant Materials and Graphics from KS3 through to A-Level. The department also runs several clubs and competitions extending the high profile of the department. We are exceptionally well resourced with 5 specialist rooms containing a wide range of equipment. There is also an expert Technology Technician at hand to provide ongoing support and guidance.

Applications are welcome from existing Heads of Design & Technology or for those with existing responsibility ready to take on their first middle leadership role. Candidates must have a proven record of delivering successful outcomes, the ability to innovate and plan for future development, as well as being an effective classroom practitioner to inspire both staff and students.

A specialism in Product Design would be preferable, but not essential. The ability to teach two subjects would be an advantage.
